Inspired by African photographic tradition, the association’s mobile studio offers the neighborhood folks a chance to get their portrait taken by a professional, against a variety of backdrops or sets. The images are immediately printed onsite and/or posted on our website for free download.

Mainly conducted by Marich Devise, the Clichés Urbains Studio is set up in the street or a public area, in Paris and Brazil. Over time the images of the Studio draw a unique portrait of popular neighborhoods and the social diversity of modernity in the two capital cities.
